Veterinarian
Meet the Founder Veterinarian
Dr. Omid Fazeli is a USDA-accredited veterinarian and a certified Cat Friendly Practitioner through the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). Since beginning his veterinary career in 2000, Dr. Omid has devoted himself to delivering exceptional care with expertise, integrity, and compassion.
With a strong focus on dogs and cats, Dr. Omid brings advanced experience in emergency medicine, critical care, surgery, endoscopy, and diagnostic ultrasound. He is widely recognized for his calm demeanor and his ability to manage complex and challenging medical cases with precision and empathy.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Omid enjoys life with his two beloved cats—a Scottish Fold and a Persian. He is also a sports enthusiast, musician, and coffee lover, bringing focus, creativity, and energy to every aspect of his life.
Dr. Omid is supported by his wife, Shahrzad, whose encouragement and partnership inspire his commitment to building a hospital grounded in compassion, excellence, and family values.
Mary – Veterinary Technician
With over seven years of experience in veterinary medicine, Mary is a highly dedicated Veterinary Technician Assistant at Animal Republic Veterinary Hospital & Emergency. Throughout her career, she has provided compassionate, high-quality care to dogs and cats, and has recently expanded her expertise to include a wider range of cases.
Mary has a strong background in anesthesia, prioritizing patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Her calm presence, precise attention to detail, and genuine love for animals make her a trusted and reassuring figure for both pets and their families.
Driven by a deep commitment to animal well-being, Mary supports patients through every stage of care and strives to make every visit as smooth, stress-free, and positive as possible.
Chanelle – Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
With over 20 years of experience in the animal field, Chanelle brings a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and enthusiasm to her role at Animal Republic Veterinary Hospital & Emergency. Having worked in various areas of animal care — from grooming to veterinary assistance — she has developed a deep understanding of both patient needs and client concerns.
Chanelle has a particular love for dogs, cats, and other unique species, and takes pride in ensuring that every pet is treated with kindness and respect from the moment they walk through the door. As one of the first friendly faces clients meet, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive environment and making every visit a positive experience.
Known for her upbeat personality and genuine care, Chanelle is passionate about helping both animals and their families feel comfortable, informed, and understood. Whether assisting in patient care or guiding clients at the front desk, she is committed to service with compassion, clarity, and a smile.
ANGELICA-VETERINARY ASSISTANT & RECEPTIONIST
Angelica is a dedicated receptionist and veterinary assistant who brings heartfelt passion to caring for both animals and the people who love them. She understands the special bond families share with their pets and strives to provide exceptional patient care rooted in empathy, communication, and respect.
Through her work in animal shelters, Angelica has developed a deep appreciation for the life-saving impact of fosters and rescues. She remains a strong advocate for giving every voiceless animal the chance they deserve.
A Huntington Beach local, Angelica enjoys adventuring with her two energetic Huskies. She continues to grow her skills with the long-term goal of expanding her expertise in veterinary medicine.
Haley – Receptionist
Haley is a dedicated member of our front desk team, bringing both compassion and enthusiasm to every client and patient she assists at Animal Republic Veterinary Hospital & Emergency. Originally from Northern California and now a proud Long Beach local, she has always had a deep passion for animals, especially dogs, cats, and small mammals.
Her love for animal care led her to volunteer abroad in wildlife rescue, including time spent in Thailand supporting safari animal rehabilitation — an experience that deepened her commitment to animal welfare.
As a receptionist, Haley strives to ensure every family feels welcomed, supported, and informed from the moment they arrive. With her warm personality and genuine care, she is dedicated to making each visit a positive and comforting experience for both pets and their owners.
