Dr. Omid Fazeli
Veterinarian
Meet the Founder Veterinarian
Dr. Omid Fazeli is a USDA-accredited veterinarian and a certified Cat Friendly Practitioner through the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). Since beginning his veterinary career in 2000, Dr. Omid has devoted himself to delivering exceptional care with expertise, integrity, and compassion.
With a strong focus on dogs and cats, Dr. Omid brings advanced experience in emergency medicine, critical care, surgery, endoscopy, and diagnostic ultrasound. He is widely recognized for his calm demeanor and his ability to manage complex and challenging medical cases with precision and empathy.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Omid enjoys life with his two beloved cats—a Scottish Fold and a Persian. He is also a sports enthusiast, musician, and coffee lover, bringing focus, creativity, and energy to every aspect of his life.
Dr. Omid is supported by his wife, Shahrzad, whose encouragement and partnership inspire his commitment to building a hospital grounded in compassion, excellence, and family values.
Blanca –Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Spain, Blanca brings warmth, compassion, and a genuine love for animals to her role as a Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant at Animal Republic. She completed her veterinary assistant studies at a veterinary hospital in Barcelona, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in patient care before continuing her journey in veterinary medicine with our team.
At Animal Republic, Blanca enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to beloved senior pets. She has a special interest in exotic animals and enjoys every opportunity to learn more about their unique care and needs. With her gentle and patient approach, Blanca is especially attentive to pets who may feel nervous or anxious during their visit, helping them feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
Whether she is welcoming families at the front desk or assisting with patient care, Blanca is a kind, dependable, and valued member of our team who is always ready to help both pets and their families.
Outside of the hospital, Blanca enjoys riding adventure motorcycles throughout California, discovering new places, relaxing with a good book, and spending time with her cat, Frontline.
Chanelle – Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
With over 20 years of experience in the animal field, Chanelle brings a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and enthusiasm to her role at Animal Republic Veterinary Hospital & Emergency. Having worked in various areas of animal care — from grooming to veterinary assistance — she has developed a deep understanding of both patient needs and client concerns.
Chanelle has a particular love for dogs, cats, and other unique species, and takes pride in ensuring that every pet is treated with kindness and respect from the moment they walk through the door. As one of the first friendly faces clients meet, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive environment and making every visit a positive experience.
Known for her upbeat personality and genuine care, Chanelle is passionate about helping both animals and their families feel comfortable, informed, and understood. Whether assisting in patient care or guiding clients at the front desk, she is committed to service with compassion, clarity, and a smile.
JAIR -VETERINARY TECH
Jair began his career in veterinary medicine in 2020 as a kennel assistant, where his dedication to animals quickly inspired him to grow within the field. Through hands-on experience, continued learning, and hard work, he advanced to become a veterinary assistant and now serves as a valued veterinary technician on our team.
Jair is passionate about making every patient feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during their visit. He understands that a trip to the veterinary hospital can sometimes be stressful, so he approaches each pet with patience, kindness, and plenty of reassuring baby talk.
Known for his calm, compassionate nature and strong work ethic, Jair is always ready to support his patients, their families, and his fellow team members. His genuine love for animals is reflected in the care and attention he gives to every patient.
Outside of the hospital, Jair enjoys spending time with his dog, Hercules, going for walks, relaxing with a good movie, and continuing to expand his knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine.
MARKOS -VETERINARY TECH
Markos is a valued member of our veterinary team, working as a Veterinary Technician while pursuing his goal of becoming a licensed veterinarian in the United States.
Originally from Egypt, Markos earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree before moving to the United States. He is currently completing the required board examinations and licensing process to continue his career as a veterinarian here.
Markos brings his veterinary knowledge, hands-on experience, and genuine compassion for animals to our hospital every day. He is known for being kind, hardworking, dependable, and dedicated to providing excellent care to every patient.
We are very happy to have Markos as part of our team and look forward to supporting him as he continues his journey toward becoming a licensed veterinarian in the United States.
